The Brotherton u13s travelled away to Gateshead Storm this week after the 2hr journey up here they found themselves finding it hard to get going after such a long journey with a couple travel sick too. But that didn't stop them putting up a good match vs a well drilled Gateshead side with full subs. Brotherton started slow but managed to match the home team for a spell in the first half but in the second half was where the game was to take its toll for the Brotherton boys having only 1 sub they found themselves struggling and having to put in extra shifts vs the bigger Gateshead side. 2 tries were scored by Brandon Lovell with some amazing tackling coming from winger Ashton Crawshaw stepping out of his shell and finding his feet to share this weeks MOM award along with Jack Rollin who was injured early in game but went back in to tackle in the second half and put on a fantastic performance and big crunching tackles potentially saving the Bulldogs from more points being scored.
