brotherton u13s game day report

Brotherton was away this week vs top of league Keighley albion. the Brotherton boys started off well but an error or 2 let Keighley get some early tries and it was just too much for the Brotherton boys they never did really get their heads into the game after that and Keighley saw an opportunity and ran away with the game. Brotherton was missing players and had a few players making their debut so was a tough time for the team against a well structured side like Keighley. The Brotherton boys did put in some decent efforts going forward and did almost get a try or 2 but a very strong confident defence from Keighley held the boys at bay. Coaches MOM was Jamie Ben Townend for his selfishless use of putting his body on the line for his team driving and tackling, Getting opposition MOM was new player Scowen Sykes for his effort never giving up chasing the opposition when they broke the line, We had 2 sponsors MOM this week and both awards going to new players making their debut Joel Connor for strong running, and Scowen Sykes for not giving up, Parents MOM went Prashant Veerasamy for his tireless efforts put in tackling and driving the ball in, This weeks Super Sub was Alfie Newbould for making a good impact from the bench.
