Today the Brotherton U13s was away at Batley Boys, and after their last game they had a point to prove and they did just that. From start to finish the Brotherton boys was in control of the game and looked very strong in defence once again, But it was no individual that made the day today it was every person who wore that shirt the team functioned very well as a whole even though we had new recruits in our ranks and a number of people stepping their game up when it was needed. Todays try scorers, Alfie mallet got himself a nice little try, Vaughn Edwards went over in corner, and we had 2 players getting their first tries for the Bulldogs they were Joel Conner went over next to sticks with a wrecking ball of a run, Then Tom Waites keen eye for a gap from hooker netted him his first try for the Bulldogs too. Awards went to Oliver Williams-Vipurs for Top Tackler and he also got Coaches MOM for his tireless efforts in defence today. Sponsors MOM was Owen Robinson for his efforts in the defence and going forward in attack. Parents MOM went to Jamie-Ben Towend for his big hits in defence and driving the ball in like a warrior. Opposition MOM went to Joel Conner Batley recognising Joel was a new player to us and tested him was their coaches words and he passed with flying colours not only that he scored himself his first try for the Bulldogs. Some special mentions today Jack Rollin Returning from 8 weeks been out to injury had a great return and put in some very strong bone crunching tackles, Joseph Pearson tackled very well today along with Ryan Hughes, Brandon Lovell ran strong, and Callum Dibb played well from middle.
